Dorian Concept – Ann River (Kuedo Remix)

When this (totally unnecessary) sequel to Blade Runner was announced the other day, I could not help but fantasise about Kuedo doing its soundtrack, to me that’s the obvious choice. It’s unfortunate that such movie projects are not made to fill the hearts of fans with love, but to make a quick buck out of their nostalgia. Well, don’t be upset, it doesn’t help. I recommend pressing that play button above, then close your eyes and picture flying in a Syd Mead-designed flying car over dystopian Los Angeles.

The track you can hear above is already the third revealed from the forthcoming Dorian Concept EP, Joined Ends (Remixes). The release date has moved forward to April 6th, and you can already listen to the other remixes by Tim Hecker and Bibio. On top of that, don’t miss the unofficial interpretation by Dim Grimm aka Dimlite.

Dorian Concept – The Sky Opposite (Tim Hecker Remix)

Of all the tracks on Dorian Concept‘s Joined Ends, one could argue that “The Sky Opposite” shares a lot of emotion with Tim Hecker‘s music. From that perspective I find it interesting to hear what the latter made of his remix, or that he even picked the track. Anyway, earlier today Ninja Tune revealed the release of the Joined End Remix EP , which also includes remixes by Kuedo, Nathan Fake, Bibio and Redinho, the last one being a digital exclusive.

Still a while to go until you can pick this up at your favourite record store, the remix EP will be out in late April. Pre-orders available from the NinjaShop and iTunes.
