Fulgeance – G.I.T.E.M.

I was just thinking about the first time, we had music from Fulgeance on this site. Then I noticed that back then, it was still common to mention an artist’s MySpace page. That was a long time ago!. It’s good to know he’s still around, busy as ever with his many disguises, quite probably the busiest Frenchman in music. And if his signing to Ed Banger Records is an indicator, he’s doing more than well.

So, there’s a new Fulgeance EP out on Ed Banger, titled “The Phoenix”. Émile Sacré did the video for one of its tunes and I think it’s a beauty!

Kelpe – Beaks of Eagles

Our good friend Kelpe has put out the second single on his own DRUT label earlier in the week. Backed up by a Fulgeance remix, it’s his last teaser before the new LP Fourth: The Golden Eagle drops on June 10, 2013. For more bits taken from that record, make sure to check out these couple of videos as well.

Hau & Mikael – Back to the Game (Fulgeance Craüt Club Remix)

I haven’t heard about Polish duo Hau & Mikael until I stumbled across this Fulgeance remix of one of their tracks. Thought it must’ve been a track from the eighties, but it’s a new production coming out on U Know Me Records later this month. Apart from the original version there are four remixes (including the one above) and some other tracks on the 2×12-inch.

Busy as ever, Fulgeance also just released the Mini Club EP that will be followed by another LP later this year.

Souleance – La Belle Vie

New material from Souleance and I first look-out to their debut album “La Belle Vie” soon to be released on First Word Records.

You can look forward to collaborations with Shawn Lee, Raashan Ahmad and Homecut or proceed straight forward to Bandcamp where you can listen to further tracks and pre-order the item, same goes for iTunes.

As for the video, it was directed by French artist Émile Sacré!

Fulgeance presents Connecticut

I haven’t known about Fulgeance‘s side-project Connecticut until minutes ago and maybe you haven’t either. Apparently, it was started by Fulgeance and Blockbass around 2003 and they released two EPs under the name on Eklektik Records.

This tracks are pure unreleased, sometimes played straight from my ol’friend MPC 2000, raw mixes, you can even hear some fails on live playing (eheh!), but this project gave me so much energy, fun and feelings, I had to share it with you.

For repeated listens, you might want to download the beat tape while it’s around. The single tracks are supposed to be available as well, I will post the link once I got it now also available for limited download.

Fulgeance – London Falling

I guess this is the kind of stuff I easily fall for: ease came up with this video for Fulgeance. It’s the beautiful cover artwork of To All Of You playfully moving around as the beats are hitting.

If you haven’t the rest of the album yet, you can stream it in full on SoundCloud. It is available on German label Melting Pot since November 11, 2011.

Fulgeance – Tokyo Blue Nostalgia

As we’re approaching the release of Fulgeance‘s debut album on Melting Pot, here’s another cut taken from To All Of You.

You might have figured by now that every track is dedicated to a city. Last time it was London, this time we give you Tokyo – a special dedication to some Japanese producers and probably my favourite track on the album!

To All Of You will be available November 11, 2011.

Fulgeance – London Falling

Hailing from the south of France, Fulgeance has to be considered one of the leading figures in the beat scene. This coming November sees the release of his debut album To All Of You on German imprint Melting Pot Music and as of today you get a first taste from it.

Watch out for more details and (hopefully) a review of the record before it drops on November 11, 2011.

Soupape Limited Edition

You might remember our feature on Alice Dufay and her Beats & Faces project. For Souleance‘s latest EP, the French illustrator created a limited edition of 15 sleeves and record spindles.

The Soupape EP was first released in December 2010 and having slept on it might turn out being good thing.

To get your copy of this unique collector’s item, be quick and head over to the First Word Records store and place your order. Or get the digital release at the same link.

Cex – Megamuse EP

In the early noughties, just before turning into a mediocre rapper, Baltimore’s Cex was among my absolute favourites. Even now, ten years after, I’m still going back to listen to his first couple albums on Tigerbeat6. His Megamuse EP is the first release since 2009’s Bataille Royale, on which he went back to his early roots.

Accompanied by remixes by Fulgeance, Baconhead, Raoul Sinier and others, Tigerbeat6 will release Megamuse on January 25, 2010. XLR8R is giving away one of the remixes and you can find a video for the title track over at Vimeo.

Huess – What It Cost EP

It’s already been out for a while, but the latest Huess should not stay unmentioned in this place. Released on Inaudible Answer in early December, “What It Cost” is available now on 12-inch and in digital formats.

Listen to the snippets:
01. Broke
02. 1-800 Wake Up
03. I’d Rather Be the Hunter
04. A Simple Method (Bonus Beats)
05. Gak (Fulgeance Remix)
06. I’d Rather Be the Hunter (Kelpe Remix)

The label states that “copies of the 12” are extremely limited so pre-orders are a must to avoid disappointment.” You can place your order for that vinyl in the Huess Bandcamp or buy the instant download from the spot. Oh, and the 12-inch purchase includes a free download in a format of your choice!

Fulgeance at Dour Festival

Not too long ago, the guys of Attic Addict have posted this live-set by Fulgeance at this year’s Dour Festival in Belgium.

If this got you in the mood, check out Fulgeance’s podcast from last year. Or discover his other mixes and releases on Musique Large.

Fulgeance – Glamoure

Haha, I’ve just noticed I accidently wrote twice about Glamoure (I mean Glamoure) already, let’s make it three times with the official video for the track.

Video directed by Ease, music by Fulgeance and available now from iTunes, Boomkat or Rush Hour.

Fulgeance – Glamoure

I had the pleasure to listen to the new Fulgeance EP for some time already, now he shares its title track with the public. Listen below and leave a comment here.

The EP is features four new tracks and is backed with three remixes by Kelpe, Gablé and Huess. It also marks the last release before Fulgeance’s full-length on Musique Large.

Glamoure will be out on vinyl and as digital release, only two more weeks to go!
