Bristol’s Peverelist, owner of Rooted Records and the man behind the Punch Drunk label, deliveres an exclusive mix for Resident Advisor’s podcast series.
With Splazsh, Werk Discs founder Actress came up with on of the most adventurous albums of the year. Only recently he visited Gilles Peterson to talk about the album, his influences, the usual stuff. Get the podcast!
The duo Mount Kimbie has been among the performers at this year’s 10 Days Off festival. Their live performance is available for download, sets from other performers can be found here.

Taken from Mary Anne Hobb’s radioshow, Dam-Funk offers his The Future of Modern Funk for free download.
Rinse FM had Floating Points and Kyle Hall on the same show the other week. Fortunately, you can download (direct link!) that and listen again – don’t let filename fool you!
And lastly, two mixes I only learned about recently: the Colours Amsterdam mix by Beat Dimensions honcho Cinnaman and Analogiques Volume 2 by Fulgeance (click for the first one!)
You know I have a crush on the Kindred Spirits label, so I’m pleased to report they have some new releases. Build an Ark will soon return with their new album “Love”, in the meantime you can listen to the new EP which is available for pre-order. Already available is the album from the Kindred Spirits Ensemble, should be in stock at every good record store.
As I continue sucking up everything related to Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue album lately, I stumbled across these Legacy Podcasts about Jazz of 1959. In four episodes you can learn about jazz in the year ’59, the making of the milestone album Kind of Blue, but also on Dave Brubeck’s and Charles Mingus’ albums that came out that year.
I very much enjoyed Resident Advisor’s interview with Disco punk DJ Harvey and you should also check out FACT’s interview with Floating Points.
Mymanhenri has posted this live recording of Dorian Concept, Mamiko Motto and Cinnaman playing at L.A.’s Dublab.
Fans of the classic Reinforced label might want to show their love with this new (ehm, oldskool) t-shirt. And if I had some money left, I’d get me one of these Ghostly 10 Year Edition Posters from ISO50.
