Weekly Bits 39/2009

With Hudson Mohawke's new album Butter coming out next month, LuckyMe are giving away two bootleg tracks from Hud Mo. These two have previously been available on a very rare 12-inch pressing, a reissue is supposed to hit the stores soon.

London's Floating Points has put together another beautiful mixtape, which you can download on his SoundCloud page, featuring music from Martyn, Omar S and FaltyDL.

You most likely have heard of DJ Lefto, be it for his association with Gilles Peterson's Brownswood label, his radioshow or the videos he's constantly adding to his YouTube channel. Another blogger you should know is, of course, Amsterdam's Nalden. Let's have a look at their video, the two having a chat about sneakers and DJing.

The second Beat Dimensions will drop in October, in the meantime you can read some interviews with the featured artists. Another good read is XLR8R's latest cover story Mutant Funk, an article on the dubstep, UK funky and all the garage in between. If you enjoyed that one, you should continue with FACT Magazine's version on the story.

One last download for you, here is Shackleton's take on krautrock legends Harmonia, the original version being backed up by Brian Eno.
