Weekly Bits 10/2009

The Guardian's Simon Reynold has written a controversial article connecting the Wonky or the Dubstep scene with the use of Ketamine. More interesting than the actual article are the reactions on the Brownswood forum, where it was discussed intensively.

Israeli producer Ophir Kutiel, better known as Kutiman, is responsible for the most popular videos this week. Using videoclips from YouTube, Kutiman is remixing their content to create unique tracks of his own.

After nine years, the Fabchannel is closing down! The website offered a huge amount of live-recordings taking place at Amsterdam's Paradiso, featuring performances by Mark de Clive-Lowe, Kid Sublime, Rich Medina, Heavy or Jneiro Jarel. This is the last chance to watch those videos!

Lastly, This is Science has another mix from Domu. Recorded last year at Japan's Freedom Time, the TrebleO mastermind plays a selection of hip hop, soul, jazz, funk, disco, house and techno. Not sure, but I probably posted this one before.
