The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975
For 30 years, in the basement of a Swedish TV station, a treasure of 16mm film material documenting the Black Power movement between the years 1967 and 1975. Göran Hugo Olsson put together a collage of interviews with the likes ofAngela Davis, Bobby Seale, Stokely Carmichael, or Kathleen Cleaver.
The film further features music by The Root's ?uestlove and Om'Mas Keith of SA-RA, and commentaries from people inspired in those days, including Erykah Badu, Harry Belafonte, Talib Kweli, and Melvin Van Peebles.
