Flying Lotus at Warp20
Apart from the box-set, Warp Records is celebrating its 20th anniversary in a handful of cities around the globe. Here is some footage from the Flying Lotus gigs in Paris and NYC.
Flying Lotus Remix Album
Tokyo-based label Beat Records has repeatedly put out some of Warp Records biggest releases for the Japanese market. They will continue to do so by releasing a collection of all three L.A. EPs from Flying Lotus.
Flying Lotus – Infinitum
With the release L.A. EP 3×3 by Flying Lotus, Warp Records also presents a video for the track “Infinitum”.
Hudson Mohawke – Butter
It’s hardly more than the album name and its tracklist, but the debut from Scotland’s Hudson Mohawke will be out on October 12th through Warp Records.
Flying Lotus – L.A. EP 3×3
The L.A. EP series from Flying Lotus will complete on June 20th, when Warp Records has scheduled its anticipated release. It will include remixes from Dimlite and Take among others.
Warp20 Box Set
For the last couple of months, everybody could vote for the all-time top 10 tracks from Warp Records. Now that the voting is over, Warp finally revealed the plans for their anniversary release, which is supposed to drop on September 25th.
Harmonic 313 – Battlestar Remix
Mark Pritchard’s album When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence is without a doubt among best releases this year. Warp Records has just posted the video to the upcoming new 12-inch.
A Designers Republic Mixtape
Without a doubt, The Designers Republic (tDR) has been among the most influencial design studios throughout the nineties until their unexpected end earlier this year. The British Warp label, the wipEout series on Sony’s Playstation or the artwork of Funkstörung are probably the best-known identities tDR has created.
Harmonic 313 Mixtape for The Fader
Another quality mixtape, this time from Mark Pritchard under his Harmonic 313 moniker. His album When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence was just released on Warp Records and is a first favourite of the year – so far! What else could I say, the tracklist speaks for itself.
When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence
About a year ago, Mark Pritchard came up with his first Harmonic 313 EP, a tribute to Detroit’s electronic hip-hop (313 being the city’s area code). What first didn’t seem to have the potential for a full album, has grown to become a diverse longplayer, set for release on February 3rd through ever-innovating Warp Records.
Flying Lotus Essential Mix
The Flying Lotus, primary subject of many of the blogs I read, has done an Essential Mix. You know, the popular show on British public radio. The show that wouldn’t need a radio-host, but instead got the most annoying of…
