We Made This: Volume 1

Cover Artwork

At first look the quality of this compilation might surprise you. It was put together by members of the Brownswood message board, a community started by fans of Gilles Peterson and his radioshow. When you look closer you will notice one or the other familiar artist, making it clear these are no newbies. I didn’t really expect it to be packaged up as a CD, but that only speaks for the effort and professionalism in the process of making the compilation.

01. Clause Four – Afro
02. Onur Engin & Krystal Hardwick – No Other Way
03. Mr Beatnick – Dancing On Ice
04. Surra – Aletheia
05. Breakplus – Hope (feat. Guynamite)
06. Colm K & The Freestyle Mellowship – Basics (feat. Elaine Dowling)

08. Red Rack’em – I Have Seen
09. Bergs – Disco For Two

  1. [...] Another post, another flyer. Until I get the chance to get some photos taken of my work this seems like a good way to gradually uploading examples of work from the recent past. This particular one was for the Fun Your Ear (FYE) night which took place at Mook in Leeds. Since its inception in 2001, FYE has gathered a loyal following for its unique and exciting party. The night has been held in London, Leeds, Nottingham, Prague, Cardiff and Bournemouth and has now gone on the even greater things with the recent launch of volume one of We Made This.  [...]
