My favourite track this week actually dates back to 2007, but it was posted by the Red Bull Music Academy only a couple of days ago. It comes from Mark Pritchard‘s latest project Africa Hi Tec.

The Brain Stays Fed
I just mentioned Los Angeles beatmaker Take in the last weekly bits and two days later Brainfeeder posts his latest mixtape. It features a wide selection of styles and many names you have read about here before.
New Floating Points on Planet Mu
On June 6th, Planet µ Records will release one of the two upcoming records from Floatingpoints. It contains my personal favourite K&G Beat, which you might be familiar with from his SoundCloud or MySpace pages.

Domu – Springbreak EP
To get you in the mood for Domu’s upcoming compilation One Offs, Remixes and B-Sides, Tru Thoughts is releasing the Springbreak EP on vinyl, first copies are already available.
Tardy Bits

Harmonic 313 – Battlestar Remix
Mark Pritchard’s album When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence is without a doubt among best releases this year. Warp Records has just posted the video to the upcoming new 12-inch.
Paul White and Bullion Mixtapes
The Fader was speaking with two uprising producers from London, both releasing on the One-Handed Music label. They go by the names of Bullion and Paul White, the latter is about to release his debut album this month.
Domu – One Offs, Remixes and B-Sides
As previously reported, Tru Thoughts is going to release a collection of rare Domu tracks and remixes this June. That’s much closer than it might sound to you, time to give you an update.

Here comes a new album from Deepblak founder Armon Bazile. Actually it’s his debut album for the Aybee moniker. I was lucky to have received a copy minutes before leaving the city, as I was about to travel through the countryside.

Laurie Osborne, better known as Appleblim, is the mastermind of the still young Apple Pips label. With only five releases it has already established the reputation of being among the most interesting dubstep labels.
Soul Power
Zaire 1974. Former world champion Muhammad Ali challenges George Foreman to regain “his” title in a fight known as the Rumble in the Jungle. Hugh Masekela and Stewart Levine convinced boxing promoter Don King to combine this event with a music festival of epic proportions.
